I just wanted to add that I appreciated all the votes and comments on the poll in the community tab. I know several people mentioned Cincinnati Kid as being worthy and I have to say, I agree, although it would have not made my top five. There are probably a dozen good films that could be added to any top ten list. These are mine, and I hope you enjoy them. Let me know what yours are.
Do a video on old school Vegas. Games, payout % on slots, player advantages back then & rule changes since then, tables games, etc
What about heat (1986)? Also, i liked color of money okay. It was no heat (1986), but it was a lot better than heat (1995)
Enjoyed this video. "The Sting" and "Molly's Game" are others I have enjoyed.
Your videos are a nice break from the poker vlogs that I am addicted to. Thanks for producing these.
I enjoy your content, interesting stuff. Hard Eight, with Philip Baker Hall, is a favorite of mine. Also Pool Hall Junkies, thought equally gambling and billiards, is one of the best indie films I've ever seen.
Though it didn't do well at the box office, and would'nt make a lot of people's list, "Lucky you" is one of my favorites.
Your list is first rate…..However, there are 3 more movies to warrant Your Top 15ish list, let’s say…..The three for me are The Cooler, Mississippi Grind, and The Big Town, my favorite of the three…..It’s a little-known Canadian production exclusively about the game of Craps……Has an all-star cast with Matt Dillon, Diane Lane, Bruce Dern, Lee Grant, and Tom Skeritt……Think You might like it……:)
“Hard Eight” (aka “Sydney”) is an absolute masterpiece and should be on any list of great gambling films.
#1 = The Sting ….. easily.
Hi great video. You forgot about the Cincinnati Kid, should definitely be high up on this list in my opinion.
711 oceanside is a noir gambling film I highly recommend
The Cincinnati Kid is a damned good movie, and The Sting is a damned great movie 🙂
How could you not include "Mississippi Grind " the main character have the same energy (vibe) as you!
Great list. One of my top 5 ,not in the list is "god of gambling. " It is an old Hong Kong movie, starting Chow Yun Fat. (He appears in one of the Piretts of Caribbean movie as a main villain.
Great list! Have 3 to add. 1. Molly's Game 2. Mississippi Grind 3. The Cooler
Wow a movie about Stu Ungar with ChrisTOfur Moltasanti how the heck did I not know about this one!!
Great channel mate
