The only people on these corporations side are the corporations themselves and YouTubers that make their living by opening these pieces of shit in front of everyone. Maybe some addicted children are frothing at the mouth, and gambling addicts.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Loot boxes are bad, and hurt otherwise great games, but regulation is bad, and a slippery slope. Today everyone supports regulation of loot boxes, but whats next? Will everyone show their support when this opens the door for regulation of other aspects of the game? 'Maybe we need to look at other game aspects that could be considered adult content' will be the next thing the bureaucrats will say. 'Maybe that character can't wear that, or maybe that person's gender is too specific, or maybe that content should be considered violent' they will say. I'm telling you. Keep supporting regulation and see what happens. After they get rid of the lootboxes and other shady monetization methods, which actually are terrible and therefor the perfect way to initiate a crusade, they may be coming for some of the other, entirely innocent, content that you like most about your games.

I think there's a problem with any government being afraid to legislate modern problems because they don't understand them. Ignorance is no excuse. Seems we need some new blood in office if this is the case. Of course you can't regulate loot boxes in video games when you don't even know what wifi is.
