Here’s the problem with the “random” take. If games are truly random and each spin is a separate bet, why would one ever leave a machine? There couldn’t possibly be cold streaks in a random outcome. They are all psychological at that point. There is randomness in the spins, but they are also programmed with psychological components to make you gamble more. That doesn’t mean they are fixed, but for example, they do things like making “close wins” extremely likely outcomes. That’s not random.

Hi all, good points by many here. May I add that my experiences have been while playing and watching others. It is a matter of luck, yes, but i find that when i commence where their are money orbs on offer, the amounts start low but as you keep playing the amounts get higher. Another thing when i win on the lower doms, i get heaps of winnings but when I play the dollar dom, it gives me weak amounts unless i gamble the higher amount in bet. Playing at $1 dom you should be entitled to higher orb amounts but unless you bet high, you get a low payout. My wife and me play low everytime to start, no hits, we move on, if we get a hit, push slowly up. One thing irks me though, here in Australia we have J-Cards (Jackpot Cards) where when you're playing at a slot machine, at various points of the day, they announce a jackpot at a machine that is being played. Answer me how can they give a jackpoy payout like that if the machine is supposed to give it randomly? How else do they follow your winnings? meh….imo each spin is not independent because of the payout and how much it has already paid out. No machine will keep paying out beyond it's alloted payout percentage.
Think about it…if a machines payout rate is at a certain percentage and that machine has already paid out a lot of money than it will try to make that percentage back by not allowing any wins for a while until it makes that percentage back….you don’t know how much money the machine has to make back before it pays out again so technically it is random but there is still a certain strategy to it…I usually do very good at the casino when I watch people play a certain slot and they are constantly losing then I will choose that machine…because the more losses the machine takes the higher chance the machine will pay out because it is trying to remain at that payout percentage. That’s my theory at least and it has worked out for me I’ve never had to take out money from my bank account…started with 80 dollars a few years ago and still playing with house money today.
