The state of Kansas is one step closer to bringing legal sports betting to its citizens, after the Senate passed bill SB 283. The bill would legalize betting both online and at retail locations. Kansas Lottery estimates the annual sports betting handle should be around $500 million, and may even reach 1 billion once the market matures in the next five years.
